Mpfuneko Community Support
Mpfuneko Community Support (MpfunekoCS) is a South African (non-profitable) public benefit organisation. It is the primary partner of IDS Foundation and located in Gawula, a village near Giyani, South Africa. Historically many of the people in this area come from the area that is now known as Kruger National Park.
MpfunekoCS is young organisation that aims to support communities and people in their economic development, in particular through job-creation. MpfunkeoCS has started projects in the following fields:
- domestic biogas supply
- HIV/AIDS prevention
- education
IDS Foundation supports MpfunekoCS with development, finance and implementation of its domestic biogas projects. These projects aim at supplying rural households with biogas for primarily cooking purposes.
